Barbara Graybeal, formerly of Pocopson
Barbara Graybeal, 77, of Winston-Salem, N.C., passed away Oct. 14, 2012. She was preceded in death by her parents Claude and Ruby Graybeal. Her immediate survivors are her aunts, Bonnie Jones of Oxford, Pa. and Geraldine Lanham of Manning, S.C.; and 11 cousins. She was a graduate of Marietta College in Marietta, Ga. She was an associate editor of the Saturday Evening Post; a writer for the New Yorker Magazine; a freelance writer for different periodicals; and currently she was completing a novel that she had been working on for the past six years based on true facts that she had obtained about the legal system. She will be missed by her family and friends. Her service will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
